I have always had a weakness... that I need something in the future to look forward to, plan for, or prepare for. Maybe everyone feels this way...I don't know, but I know that I am more content and happy with the present when something exciting is ahead. I love the last month of school. It is so fun to see the Seniors who have had Senioritis since November, begin to connect the fact that they are really leaving this secure and protected environment called High School and going out into the big, big world. Most of them have a huge attitude change at the very end, although they are very sure that they want to move on. I always miss them for a while when they leave but then, the new Seniors fill in the spaces they left and we make new connections.
I am so looking forward to this summer and time to work in my yard and garden and if I want to get in the car (even by myself) and go see my Grandkids I WILL BE ABLE TO! Or They can just come and see me. I love the blogs and the emails and pictures and once in a while visits but the freedom to have them all closer makes me breath easier.
We also have a trip to Philmont on the 4th of July through the 11 in Arizona which will be a life changing experience I hear. I am looking forward to that....but we will miss not having this first 4th of July together as a family. We will have to re-schedule that to the 24th or sometime this year.

Thats right, you don't have to go through cities to visit any of us, therefore you are free to drive on your own. :-) I like looking forward to things too. Sometimes there's not a lot going on, especially in logan winters, so...I look forward to baking yummy treats with the boys. :) And I'm still trying to work through about you guys ditching out on us on the 4th. J/K
