Valentine

I am a romantic! I love to love and to be loved. I think we all do in our own way. So today I want to focus all my attention on those that I love. My 2nd love and I spent the weekend in SLC at Tiff's wedding and just hanging out on Temple Square and around together. I love temple square. Even though I have been there thousands of times...I still get such a good feeling whenever I am there and I still love to go play all the little video clips and watch the dramatizations as the gospel as we know it is played out. I know life doesn't always play out as perfectly as it is portrayed...but, you know what...sometimes it does and we have the perfect examples before us as a target to shoot for. It is especially fun to share these with my sweetheart. Now you may be saying if Scott is her 2nd love who is her first. I know any member of the church should know that Christ is always our 1st love. He is part of my marriage triangle and without Him I cannot ever, ever become perfect. I love Him! It was neat to be in the temple as a sweet young couple were sealed for time and all eternity. Oh, the blessings! They are innumerable and inexpressible!

I love my children and their wives and our grandchildren. More than anything we love to hear about every little thing they are doing. They are all growing and learning the gospel and being taught to pray and to value the scriptures and the word of God. What joy that brings to us as we pass this legacy along from one generation to the next. We saw a picture in the visitor's center that awoke the testimony of this in my heart. It was the birth of a baby. The mother wore a broach around her neck...next you see her with the same broach teaching and raising that son. Then you see the son get married and start his family. He loses his mother and is at her grave with the broach in his hand. You then see Him pass this broach on to his son. I thought about this and think the broach symbolizes the precious truths of the gospel as we pass them from generation to generation.

I love my parents and brothers and sisters and Scott's parents and brothers and sisters. This extended family are what reminds us of who we are. We can support and help each other. I have learned much from each one of them and when I see their children succeed I rejoice with them also as if it they were my own.

So you see on this Valentines Day with this kind of sappy serious entry I am proclaiming my greatest and deepest feelings.......and I am proud of it. It's okay to express that publicly once in a while. So if you are embarrassed by this.....get over it! :'}

What a heartfelt entry. I really felt some good feelings stirred around in my heart. Thank you for writing about the important stuff. It's good to be uplifted in this way, I'm continually looking for ways to feel the spirit outside of church, so thankyou for sharing your truest feelings! ;-)
