Whew! I got the weeds sprayed and the dormant oil on all of my trees this morning just before the wind started to blow. Since then house cleaning, laundry and cooking have been on my priority lists. It is 2:00 and the work is finally done (well, it is never really done, but I am) and it all looks pretty good. Scott and Brad have gone to Wayne county to look at some cows and calves that they might want to buy and so I should work on my Sunday School lesson for tomorrow while it is quiet and undisturbed here. But, I have to write down my thoughts for today.
It seems on my job that everyday I learn something new and then it overwhelms me how much I know nothing about. Just working around educated, and educationally focused people helps me to appreciate the world around me more.....but, at the same time I realize how shallow and sheltered I am. I have started the "NSHS word of the day" contest where I post a vocabulary word that the teachers in different departments provide for me. It has been fun for the kids (although its mostly the same kids that constantly try to win), but I feel that every little reminder and reinforcement of what they are learning will only help them. Next week I am doing a 6 word story contest, where the students may only use 6 words to create a story....such as, Hemingway's "For sale: Baby shoes, never used." or Orson Scott Card's "The baby's blood type; human mostly." or "Wedding ring found on bar stool." I am gathering prizes for the winners and the teachers will be the judges. I think it will be fun to see what they come up with.
Tomorrow Casey and Tori will bless Talie Rae and they are having a dinner afterward. She is such a cute little baby and they are blessing her in our ward. I am also having Sunday School class here because it is ice cream Sunday. I love the weekends and being at home this weekend has felt especially good.
Oh, and please help me fix my blog space. It is pitiful!

You said you wanted to fix your blog space. What do you want to fix? The picture you will just need to resize when you scan it. How was the blessing today? When are you guys coming up?
