The Party is Over!

Summer has been packed full of fun and lessons learned, spiritual experiences and happy memories. We had such a fun reunion in St. George at Dan & Tarah's house. We started off with a service project to pull some shrubs out at Dan's house. He was worried about us working and not having fun.....little does he know that at our age it's more fun to work and more work to have fun. (he he he) Anyway, it only took us until noon and then we hit the aquatic center where we all swam indoors and played on all the slides, etc for a couple hours. The kids (big and small) loved it and all had a good time. I especially loved that it was indoors thus not having to worry about sunburn, white skin, etc. I heard Tarah's & Dan's lessons that they gave in church on Sunday were marvelous and our lesson in the hall with the kids was eventful. Dan & Tarah thanks for making our stay so enjoyable. I'm afraid we'll probably be back...especially this winter.

We had a growing experience tending Jacob and Kade this last week. I forgot how much energy kids take. It was hard, not because they are hard kids, but because kids are just hard.......but, they also bring joy. Honestly, I am glad my grandkids have good parents.....but, on the other hand we sure do enjoy watching them grow up and talking about all the cute and wonderful things they say and do. Jacob taught us some important lessons about the power of prayer. Our grandkids are the cutest and the smartest and the best! We love them so much!

I have exactly 5 1/2 days of freedom left with my own time. What to do with it that would be best. I would like to start canning so I don't have to do it after school starts but nothing is quite ready yet. So....I will probably just go with Scott and help him at the ranch. I can't really believe that the summer is gone already. I knew it would be short but I wasn't really prepared with how short.
