Scott Johnson Family Reunion

We had an awesome time at the ranch last weekend. I was worried that we wouldn't have time to do anything with just one day....but, we did almost everything on the list. My biggest regret...NO PICTURES! I have become totally lazy about taking any pictures. I just hope that someone else will do it. Anyway, I hope the pictures are imprinted in everyone's memories forever. I know it will be in mine.
Just some notes about Kember's stay with Grandma. It was such a treat to have Kember stay and play with Grandma for a couple of days. She helped me pick raspberries and beans and played with Roy. We made her a new cozy blanket and a skirt. We went shopping with Great Grandma and Grandpa Christensen. We went to the ranch and cleaned up. We saw the most perfect and beautiful rainbow that I have ever seen in my life. While we were in the basement sewing and doing laundry we saw a gopher in the window well. It looked just like a gerbil and Kember really, really wanted to find a cage for it and take it home. I didn't know what it was because it did look just like the gerbils we used to have, so I told her we would just have to wait until grandpa told us what it was. She spent a lot of time watching it and tapping on the window. It seemed pretty tame. Ginger Johnson's little girl (Katelyn) came over to play just before Grandma and Grandpa Christensen came to take Kember home to St. George, so luckily she forgot all about the gopher. They played dress-ups in the basement for an hour before Kember had to go. Katelyn wants Kember to come again and next time to come over to her house and play in her mom's dance studio.

It it really great to have one on one time with our grandkids as they get older. We really bond with them during this time. We appreciate the opportunity of having them come and look forward to Jacob's turn coming up.

"Lucky" is right that she forgot about the gopher and didn't bring it home. That would not have made mom very happy. She was very excited about the gopher though. She couldn't remember what it was called but she kept talking about it. She loves her new blanket and skirt (which she wore today). Thanks for having her!
